In the event of postponement, fees paid in advance will be carried forward.
The instructor reserves the right to cancel a lesson at short notice if it is suspected that the pupil may be unfit due to the effects of alcohol, drugs (prescribed or otherwise) or any other condition that would cause his/her driving to be dangerous or illegal. In such circumstances the lesson fee will be payable.

It is recommended that you book an assessment before booking an intensive course, your instructor will then assess your driving and then recommend a suitable course, please however note it is not a guaranteed pass, should more hours be required after completing the course, those hours and any further booked tests will be payable. Should you choose to not take up an assessment you accept any responsibility should a non suitable course be booked.
Upon booking a course, a non refundable deposit of £175 is required with the remaining cleared balance due a minimum 10 working days before the start of the course.
Should you wish to cancel an intensive course, a refund less the deposit will be refunded providing 10 working days or more notice is given before the start of your course. Should less than 10 working days notice be given no refund will be given for the paid tuition. You will however receive a full refund for the booked DVSA test fees providing the course is cancelled within the DVSA’s cancellation period. All cancelations should be put in writing and sent to info@motoring2day.co.uk.
If you fail too attend/complete the full course or cancel during a course, those cancelled hours will be lost, not rescheduled nor refunded. Intensive courses are sold on the understanding that you can/will complete the full course. Please avoid booking if there may be reasons to believe why you may not be able to complete the course.
Your instructor reserves the right to refuse the use of a school car for the driving test should you fail to meet the required standard at the end of your course, any test cancellations require 3 clear working days to receive a refund or to reschedule the booked test as per DVSA's T&C's.
Any refunds given will be made within 30 days of the request being made.
3. Price and Promotions, block bookings discounts:
We reserve the right to change the price of all our lessons from time to time. Your instructor will notify of any such increases & will give a 2 week notice. Your instructor may however increase the price of the lesson to reflect any increase in the cost of the lesson which is beyond his/her control (i.e. a change of pick up/drop of location which exceeds the area covered by the instructor).
The cost of prepaid tuition is based on the lesson price in force at the time of booking and will be honoured for 12 months thereafter irrespective of any price increase that may occur between the date of booking and when the lessons are taken.
Should the full prepaid tuition not be taken, a refund must be requested within a 12 month period from the date of payment for any remaining sum outstanding, a administration charge of £15 will be deducted from the sum being refunded, the lessons which have already been taken will be charged at the Motoring 2 day’s current standard hourly rate.
Motoring 2 Day is not liable for refunds or expenses you may incur shall in the event we are prevented from fulfilling your lessons as a result of circumstances beyond their control. Such circumstances shall include (but not limited to) war, terrorism, riots or civil unrest, industrial action, natural disasters, epidemics, health risks or such similar events (“Force Majeure”).
Motoring 2 Day reserve the right to withdraw any promotional price/material at any given time, in the event that any promotional material is not available, your instructor reserves the right to offer a suitable replacement to the value of the goods i.e. further driving lessons.
Promotions are only available for new starters, unless stated otherwise and only available to one per house hold, unless agreed with the instructor.
Motoring 2 Day is not held responsible for any material supplied on promotion (i.e. Theory and Hazard perception material)
4. Bookings and Lesson duration:
Your instructor will endeavour to maintain regular lesson slots at the same time each week to ensure continuity of learning, however, this cannot be guaranteed.
If, for any reason, the instructor is late for the lesson he/she will make a concerted effort to inform the pupil of the estimated time of arrival. If the delay is greater than 15 minutes this time will be credited to the pupil and when possible the lesson will be extended by the time due – if this is not possible the extra time will be carried forward to the next suitable lesson.
5. Training Location:
All sessions will start and finish at the same location unless alternative arrangements are made in advance. The instructor will determine a location for practical lessons which ensures both the pupil’s and public safety – this means that the instructor may need to drive the pupil to and from the lesson location; this journey time forms part of the lesson as paid for.
6. Training vehicles:
Training vehicles provided by the school are taxed, insured for the purposes of driving tuition, fully roadworthy and fitted with dual controls.
Pupils who require tuition in their own vehicle must supply evidence from their motor insurer that the car is covered for lessons when being supervised by a professional instructor in return for payment; the car must also be taxed and hold a current MOT certificate where appropriate.
In the event of a motoring offence (i.e. speeding ticket), it is the responsibility of the driver to accept & pay the fine, the instructor accepts no liability.
Driving lessons may be recorded for training/insurance purposes, the camera will be filming the road, not the driver or passengers, it will however pick up conversations within the vehicle, the sound can however be switched off, please notify the instructor if you wish this to happen.
7. Driving tests and bookings:
Your instructor reserves the right to refuse use of a driving school vehicle for test if he/she considers that provision of a vehicle could cause a risk to public safety.
Where a school car is used for test, the booking period will based upon the instructor's normal diary schedule. Depending on the time & location of the test this will require a minimum two hour booking or possibly longer. To avoid double booking, your instructor will book the driving test on an agreed date, the full test fee charged by the DVSA & instructor will be charged in advance. The test date and time will be confirmed with the pupil before booking.
While your instructor will make every effort to ensure that the vehicle supplied for test will be fully road worthy and comply with all legal requirements at the start of the test, he/she cannot be held responsible for vehicle failure that occurs during or leading up to the test and is not liable for consequential loss.
Your instructor cannot be held responsible for test appointments cancelled by the DVSA due to bad weather, sickness, staff shortages or other reasons. Such cancellations are beyond the control of your instructor and therefore the lesson fee and 'use of car' fee for the booked period will be charged. Your instructor will advise about claiming compensation from the DVSA.
8. Your rights:
These conditions do not affect any protection a person has under the consumer legislation.
We reserve the right to change or alter any of the terms and conditions without notice, but will endeavour to inform pupils of any changes as soon as possible.
